No Dial tone:

Your First Line of Defense

You pick up your phone to make a call but there is no dial tone. You also can’t make any calls. You look at your Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) and the red light is flashing. This means that your ATA has lost its internet connection. This doesn’t happen often but when something does happen which causes your equipment to lose its connection, you can easily fix it by simply power cycling your equipment.

Step One - To perform the power cycle you un-plug the power cord from the back of the VOIP equipment, wait 30 to 40 seconds for it to completely die down. Then plug it back in. This will cause the VOIP equipment to restart. This should solve the problem. After a short restart process, your ATA should now have no blinking red light. You should now be able to make calls.

If Step One does not fix the problem:
If your equipment still won’t connect with the internet and register with our servers, then you may have a problem on your local network.

Step Two - Re-start whatever you have your VOIP equipment plugged into such as the router or Cable/DSL modem by performing a power cycle on it also. Once the router or Cable/DSL modem have restarted and you’re sure they are up you should then repeat the power cycle of your VOIP equipment described in Step One.

If these instructions do not fix the problem:
The steps above should solve most all problems. If, after completing the steps above, you are still having issues you should Open A Support Ticket.
